Network Installation

If you want to install Symptom Survey Maestro
on a local area network in your office, give these instructions to your PC /
Network Support person.
Note: The
professional
version of Symptom Survey Maestro only allows a single user at-one-time
to be in the program. If you would like multiple simultaneous
users (more that one at a time), then you need to purchase the
Multi-User option.
Symptom Survey Maestro
was designed from the beginning to be networked, and if you have a network,
we encourage you to install it there by following these instructions.
The benefit of networking is that all of your patient and symptom
survey information are located in one place, so that everyone is always
looking at the same information.
Follow these simple steps below...
- Install Symptom Survey Maestro on to the PC
designated as your Server. Make sure you override the
installation location to a shared drive/folder that allows
everyone full access.
- Start Symptom Survey Maestro on the Server.
- Enter your Activation Code per the instructions
sent to you by Greene Software.
- You are done with the Server portion of this
setup.
- To setup each PC designated as Workstations, on
each workstation, using Windows Explorer:
- Map the shared network drive/folder (where you
installed Symptom Survey Maestro on the Server) as a drive letter,
- Using this new drive letter, find the program
called SSM.EXE and create a shortcut on the workstations desktop.
That's it! You should now have full access to
Symptom Survey Maestro from all workstations on your network.
